The Plant Sale Is Coming Up Soon!!!

PLEASE PLEASE DON'T FORGET THE COUNTY PLANT SALES COMING UP FOR SPRING IN YOUR COUNTY!!!

Most people it seems have forgotten the older ways of beautiful gardening! Youngsters interested should be shown. Here's your chance to help yourself, and maybe a friend, or neighbor add some beauty to their yard! These people at the county offices are fantastic!!! They'll assist you if you are a new gardener, or older.
They can give advice that you wouldn't believe. They have low-income advice, and any level, and at the same time, check out some of the other events coming your way that they have in store for you! So on March 28th, grab a few gals, pals, and others, and head over to your local County Extension Office .They are there to serve you with smiles a and happy to be there

NOTE:Sadly, the plant sale looks as if it's been cancelled for now due to the sheltering in place order. But there is plenty planned for later after the order is lifted, and if I remember correctly, there are some online events going on as well. You'd have to check their website.

Also there are several events coming up for 4-H. Please check them out, and Yahoo for those 4-H kids!!! You go!!! Plant sales are great. It's a fantastic way to find out answers to questions you have, perhaps make a few new friends, and come up with some very unique ideas. If you're at an extension office, they can even inform you of native plants in your area. And if you need unique options, but are on Avery tight budget, these people may have a few clever ideas, or might know someone who could help. So please ask, don't be shy. They are there to help.

The county extension office near you can help with many things including, but not limited to assisting you in checking the balance of your  pH in your soil. And they used to be able to give information about how to store different foods, like milk, which can be frozen, but you have to pour some off the top for expansion. I don't remember how long it keeps. They can tell you how long different meats can be frozen, and how long they will keep that way. These people are very informative and, if they don't know most likely they can find out who does. And can point you in the right direction for help.

Older folks are extremely wise when it comes to growing gardens of many types. This is an art of times last, and many folks of age can tell you some secret old-fashioned tricks which may save you loads of time and money. They have time, and experience under their belt, and some may be very thrilled if you ask for some of their knowledge, and experience. I sited the Master Gardeners of Montgomery county, Tx. for this reason. Very important people.
