Dwarf Fruit Trees
Fruit trees. Everyone likes them. But, not everyone has space for them. There are options out there though. If you have very little space for them, the dwarf type may be right for you. Even though they're small, they still put out enough to feed a small family.
There are all kinds of dwarf fruit trees out there. There are several types. There are lemons, lime, oranges, grapefruit, apples, pears, cherries, pomogranite, and peaches as well, but the need to be grafted to dwarfing rootstock, so it's best to check with a nursery before growing to find out how to begin this task.
All of these trees can be grown indoors, and take up less space than you think. Some of them only mature to about 2-4 ft. tall. How many delicious recipes can you think of which could be made with these fruits? I could think of quite a few! Yummy!
Another one is blueberries and strawberries. These are my very favorite.
Grafting is a technique which takes a little bit longer, and takes some learning. It's best to ask someone who is knowledable in this field. I would ask the people at your local county extension office, or a professional horticulurist. The extension office can be very helpful, they know about your soil in the area, and the habitat in the surroundings within the county in which you live.
Starting a garden is a great benefits. Even if it's just one. Everyone needs to start somewhere. And if you've never done gardening before sometimes it's best to start small. If you're going to grow dwarf fruit trees, maybe just start with one, and work your way up from there.
In the next upcoming article, we'll chat about spices. Where they come from, some history of them, and how they're produced. Also there will be some research about becoming independent, and self - reliant in tough times. And how can it be possible for YOU, to become self -reliant. The pros and cons of it all .
I have already researched these subjects ahead of time, and am still doing some research on them. But I hope the information I show will be helpful. Ibelieve that over the years, we have become too reliant upon others to provide for our food intake and others things we need. I believe that we need to become more independent, and be more capable of providing our own things.
That doesn't mean that we need to ignore those less fortunate, it means we need to be able to take care of ourselves and those less fortunate as well, by showing them too how to do the same. And until they are able we need to help. "Show a manhow to grow food, and he'll never go hungry."
I hope you've enjoyed this article. Please feel free to write and comment. Until next time, have fun gardening.
