Different Types of Gift-Giving for a Person who Loves to Garden

You all know there's a special friend in your life that loves to garden, and Mother's Day and Father's Day is quickly upon us before we know it. Why not give something that continues to give?

Gardening comes in all shapes and forms. It can be recipes, flowers, herbs Vegetables, or even spices. It comes in fruits trees also, and nuts of various kind. It can be an interesting book on the topic that your friend wants to learn about.

If you need some ideas to engage your mind for the upcoming holiday, here are a few for starters: make a small basket arrangement of fresh flowers with a small book on a topic they like. Find out what small garden items might be needed, and arrange them in a nice bucket with a bow and gift them. If you are not pinching the budget too much, obtain a small fruit tree which does well in their area. A book, or fresh flowers are always a hit. It's the thought that counts. A seed selection in a nice storage box with a bow, or ribbon works too. Gardening tools of any sort always work.  Or if you feel energetic and they want a garden, but just don't have the time, offer to help. That works too. Sometimes somebody may just want a day to spend with you, while puttering in the garden.

These are all fantastic ways to make the upcoming holiday special for someone special to you. Even so. Sometimes just a hello will do perfectly. You can think of anything if you want to, just put your imagination into it.

Plant some pretty Marigolds in a bunch in a nice spot for them to enjoy . Or their favorite flower. Or, have a nice garden luncheon that you plan for them, and share the time with them, and them only.  There are all sorts of things you can do for someone you like.

If they happen to have an outdoor garden, offer to water it for the day and take care of it. They may welcome the break. Maybe they need assistance rearranging their vegetables. Ask, please don't be too timid to ask. Perhaps there's a small tree they've been wanting to plant in their yard. Or, some fertilizing to be done. Maybe they are living in a small space and could use some cheering up with some plants which don't take a lot of space, and little care. Or maybe they have a yard which could use some sprucing up.

Share a gardening course that's free! Everyone loves something free, and everyone loves free garden goodies, especially food. It's a great way for them to learn something they can put to work for themselves.

Either way. Just spending time with someone who you care about for Mother's Day or Father's Day is special enough and precious time.

I hope you have enjoyed this article as much as I have enjoyed writing about this subject. Have a wonderful day, and happy gardening!
