Mulch- Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Mo.....???

There are several different options you can chose of mulch. As a matter of fact there are 7 different kinds.  There's bark amongst many. There are decorative ones, different colors of them, and many others. You just have to decide which one you would like.

There are rocks and biodegradeable ones to assist you in giving back to Mother Earth . If it was up to me, I would choose the one that gives back to Mother Earth because what's the good of planting if your not going to give back to the Earth?

With mulch(bark), it gives a beautiful dark, rich, look to the Earth surrounding the premises. And by using bark mulch you're using a natural product. By using leaves (yes, the natural kind), you are also giving back to the Earth, and also it assists in retaining the water you use. This helps in less watering, and gives your plants the water needed.

Another really pretty one that's decorative is rocks of several different types. These hold moisture in, and set a colorful backdrop. They come in an array of colors to chose from. In addition, old leaves off of other plants can be used as well, but be sure to set them in a ring around your plants as not to overwhelm them.

What this article ends up really trying to get across to the viewers, is that it is a mulch that will save you watering time, and usage. It will help your plants retain water better in the long-run. Not only that, it can contribute in other ways as well, by keeping bugs out, and weeds. That's not to say that it will keep all the bugs away, but it should help some.

Ash is another attribute. It contains nutrients which your plants(most of them, some may not) need. But before using it to, check which ones it can be useful too, and which ones should be avoided. Not all of plants can handle Ash well. Be sure they are completely cooled, and water well. So, the next time your kiddo would like a small campfire, it may be of benefit to gardening for you, and a good way to put the ash to use.

I sincerely hope you have enjoyed this article. I know I did. I learned things I did not know. I found out that we have numerous ways to mulch, that are not only money- saving, but also can help preserve our environment and retain water better too also adding splashing good looks to the garden, no matter where it may be. Even though you may have a balcony for a garden, you can still use some sort of mulch. Just try to be creative, and think in terms of retaining (holding), moisture so you needn't water as often, which can save time to work with some other gardening. Please enjoy the videos. I did. They're very informative.

Until the next time, please have a great time gardening. Also feel free to drop a line and make any article suggestions if there is something particular you'd like to hear about.  In the meantime, enjoy planting.

I mentioned the last video, not to say bad things about the products, but to show the viewers that they should check with someone who has used these products before, as to how pleased they were with their use, and to laugh a little at some of the gardening catastrophies that we can go through at times. That's me too, I've had these things happen from time to time. We all have. For those who've had these gardening hassles happen I hope you had better days. I know the frustration.
